Post-Luke and Laura, it was left to Emma Samms to step in and keep General Hospital going as the hottest soap of the ’80s. As the love interest–and eventual wife–of international spy Robert Scorpio, the sexy Brit owned daytime TV. She went on to sex up nighttime soaps like Dynasty and Models, Inc. and even got to parody herself in the big screen flick Delirious (1991). And don’t miss her femme fatale turn as former-Mrs. Luthor on a 1994 episode of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Emma has thus far kept her sammies undercover, unfortunately, but she pushed boundaries in the made-for-TV movie Illusions (1992), where only some pasties seem to stand between a shower curtain and Emma’s nips. Before that, she takes off her tank top and bra but her back is to the camera. We’re under no illusion about Emma’s exhibitionism; that shower scene might contain the only skin we ever get from this brown-eyed beauty. Since she reached her peak by half-showing her peaks, Emma has stuck predominantly to family-friendly fare like the Disney series Gargoyles, the animated feature The Adventures of Tom Thumb & Thumbelina (2002), the live-action movie Pets to the Rescue (2002), the romance flick Love Blossoms (2017), and the musical short The Celebs: Rock with Rudolph (2018). In the mid 2000s Emma rejoined the cast of General Hospital and remains a recurring guest star to this day. Maybe there will be a story arc involving Emma’s character in an affair with a younger man since she’s now a full-blown MILF!
